Got Wood?

It has been a big week for the Bon Vivant team.  Monday saw yours truly compete in the Scottish heat of the Diageo World Class competition and score a place in the UK finals (plus a trip to Mexico to visit the Don Julio and Jose Cuervo distilleries). Tuesday saw young Sam Watson compete in the first round of the Chartreuse competition and win a place in the finals alongside Tom Walker from Bramble, with an impromptu appearance from me and some Baguette-wielding French dude called Francois.  On Wednesday Craig Harper dropped in to the Bon Vivant for a discussion on the effect of wood on Whisky (and Whiskey) which proved massively informative and has inspired me to head out in search of printed pulped wood to further explore this aspect of my little boozy world.

And it’s only Thursday.
